Dip into Your Favorites
Are you trying to eat more fruits and vegetables? That’s a pretty common goal this time of year. But trying to eat new foods can be hard if we are not familiar with them or if we’ve never tried them in a way that we liked.
One idea that works for some people is to include a tasty dip to enjoy with your fruits or vegetables. This tip is often shared when introducing new foods to kids, but it works for us adults, too. By including a food that is familiar and that we like (the dip), we may be more interested in eating the food that is unfamiliar or not well-liked yet (the fruits and vegetables). Over time, our tastes may change and make us more accepting of fruits and vegetables in general. Interested? A few of our favorites are the Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip, Fruit Dip, and Hummus.
